Lynn Weinstein is the Principal Interior Designer of LMW Designs, LLC. Lynn earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island. After graduation from URI, Lynn worked in her family’s long-term care business as a nursing home administrator while attending the Rhode Island School of Design’s (RISD) Interior Design program. 

While studying at RISD, Lynn worked for two interior design firms located in RI, each with distinct specialties. One design firm employed a number of designers each specializing in different facets of residential design. The other firm, whose principal was an interior architect, specialized in commercial design. Thus Lynn was given the opportunity to expand her creativity to both residential and commercial client bases. Several years ago, her family left the long-term care arena, giving Lynn the opportunity to form LMW Designs, LLC.

Practical experience of being in long-term care for over twenty years gives Lynn insight into designing interiors for this unique segment. As a long-term care administrator, Lynn served on many committees and held many offices in organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life for this population. Understanding the reality of day-to-day operations in long term care enables Lynn to recommend practical and affordable finishes that satisfy staff requirements and sensibilities while giving their residents a luxurious and attractive environment to call home. Her knowledge of running a business makes Lynn familiar with the challenges facing all business owners. 

Lynn’s client base includes residential homes, exterior room spaces, office spaces, strip mall renovations, health care facility renovation and new construction, fine dining, dance studios and furniture store layouts.

She works with traditional, transitional, eclectic and modern interiors and does not try to project a particular style; instead she works with her clients to help them find a style that is personal, comfortable and luxurious, one they can call their own, in a cost effective manner. Although Lynn has a strong background in health care design, she is passionate about creating exceptional kitchen and fine dining spaces.
